Q & A with Kirk Russell

Kirk has over 30 years experience as a Chartered Physiotherapist in professional sport and private practice, which includes a 12-year stint as Head Physiotherapist at England Cricket. Kirk will lead the Club’s Science and Medicine department and bring with him a wealth of experience of working in elite sport.

Kirk’s career in physiotherapy started at Northamptonshire CCC in 1994, where he spent seven years. He began working with England Cricket in 1998 and was a part of the management team during England Cricket's most successful period when the men’s team won three Ashes series and the World T20 title. After leaving his role with the England in 2011, Kirk went on to work for Tottenham Hotspur, Delhi Daredevils in the IPL and spent the last two summers working with Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred.
